Pearl Sensitone Premium Snare, 15"x5", STA-1550MH, Mahogany
The Pearl STA-1550MH Mahogany is a 15" x 5" Sensitone Premium Snare, with a 4-Ply Mahogany Shell, and a Satin Natural finish. The popular Sensitone series from Pearl is making a comeback in 2014 with a bang on the snare drum market. Two different variations - Sensitone and Sensitone Premium - in conventional depths and materials, delivering the exceptional sound and high level of quality we have come to expect from Pearl.
Shell Materials: The Sensitone snare drums feature shells are made of steel, brass and seamless aluminium, while the upscale Sensitone Premium snare drums consist of phosphor bronze, brass, maple and African mahogany with maple reinforcement rings.
All Sensitone snare drums come with the new practical click-lock throw-off. The audible click of the throw-off allows the snare to be comfortably and reliably deactivated during play. The Super Hoop II rims ensure for a secure and long lasting tuning of the head. The Sensitone Premium snare drums also feature new redesigned lugs. The so called ARL Tube lugs not only look extremely cool but also improve the connection between shell and hoop through two independently mounted, flexible screws. SN1420l snares and high-quality Remo US ambassador coated heads round off the package for the perfect sound projection.
